Anything less just wouldn’t be Proper.**

**Job Overview**:
**The Finance Manager is responsible for providing support to the Finance department and has a matrix reporting structure, reporting to the Director of Finance and Assistance Director of Finance. This position will include tasks related to accounting, financial planning and analysis, general ledger oversight, and controls over financial reporting.**

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- **Manages the hotel capital projects from inception to the completion of the project**:

- **Collaborates and partners with the hotel's Executive Committee members and ownership with establishing projects and criteria while monitoring progress and processing invoices**:

- **Managing invoice submissions process with ownership reimbursements and depreciation practices**:

- **Managing reconcile process for accounts to ensure accuracy**:

- **Transients: Residences and Spa Memberships Accounts Receivables**:

- **Establish and manage house accounts to ensure accurate billing and processing**:

- **Monitor guest ledger for accuracy and appropriateness**:

- **Manage and ensure all house accounts are closed timely and accurately for month end**:

- **Respond and manage chargebacks and/or guest inquiries in a timely manner to ensure accuracy**:

- **General Cashier responsibilities are incorporated into this position**:

- **Complete daily deposits including accurate balancing and submission of bank Deposits**:

- **Establish and manage Cash Receivables and Cash variance reports**:

- **Manage Petty Cash for appropriateness and accuracy**:

- **Audit house banks as required per Proper SOP’s**:

- **Generate summary sheets to be used by supervisor or accounting team**:

- **Additional accounting tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of Finance**

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- **3 - 5+ Years of Accounting Experience**:

- **Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field Required**:

- **Hospitality Experience Required**:

- **Onsite 5 days/week**

**Qualifications**:
