Gaston Real Estate Investment Company, a small business in downtown Columbia, is seeking a Exterior Painter
Our portfolio consists of ~140 residential & commercial rental units owned by the company. Mainly focused on student housing near the University of South Carolina campus.
The job is mostly painting at our rental houses near USC:
- Painting (both outside and inside)
- Sanding, prepping walls
- Repairing drywall
- Repairing wood rot
Other duties may include:
- Removing furniture
- Yard work
- Clean outs
- Hang blinds
- Install smoke detectors
- Assisting in repairs
The position is 1099 with 45-60 hours a week through the summer, and for the right fit, a permanent job offer will be extended.
Pay starts at $16.00-$19.00 an hour depending on skill level. Position is paid weekly - every Friday.
**Requirements**:
- clean background check
- 3+ years of painting experience
- reliable transportation
Also helpful:
- having some of your own tools
- having your own truck
