Lifeguards are responsible first and foremost for the well-being of our Guests. Prevention is the key to safety. Lifeguards provide a safe environment by enforcing and abiding by all water park and safety rules to prevent incidents from occurring.

Specific Responsibilities
Keep a close eye on swimmers in the wave pool, lazy river, and many exciting water attractions.
Be attentive and assertive while ensuring Guests use all attractions safely and correctly.
Prevent injuries by communicating with the Guests and eliminating any hazards.
Conducts safe, effective rescues as learned in training.
Maintains the knowledge to complete live audits correctly.
Assist Guests in and out of tubes and cycle through the line efficiently.
Calculate the proper dispatch interval between riders.
Provide Guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.
Keep the patios, midways and work areas in the waterpark clean and looking great.
Work outdoors under extreme weather conditions (rain or shine), while in water.
Interact with park Guests and provide park information.
Perform additional duties as need or directed by management.

**Requirements**:
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
Must be at least 15 years old for shallow water supervision.
Must pass StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Training.
Able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Swim 200 yards, tread water and retrieve diving brick off the bottom of the pool.
Must have 20/20 corrective vision, physical endurance to respond to emergencies (swim to and with a Guest in distress and perform CPR)
Be able to lift guests of all weights with the assistance of a backboard.
Physically perform rescues as required.
Must be able to climb stairs and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must attend all required in-service trainings to maintain lifeguard certification.
Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
