You will collaborate with a team of staff members. The location and schedule for this position are fixed and unchanging.

We are currently hiring and request that you be available for an interview on the same day or the next day after applying.

**Duties**:

- Shelter Entrance Monitoring: Oversee the main entrance, ensuring it's the only access point for participants, employees, partners, and vendors. Authorize the entry and exit of visitors, guests, and other individuals.
- Bag & Person Screening: Conduct thorough screenings of participants and their belongings each time they enter the shelter. This step is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of everyone in the facility. Treat all participants with dignity and professionalism during screenings.
- Premises Patrol: Regularly patrol the premises to detect and prevent signs of intrusion, ensuring the facility's security. Report and address any issues as needed.
- Shelter Safety: Monitor the shelter during patrols to ensure safe operations. Report and rectify spills, unsafe conditions, or defective equipment. Assist clinical and case management staff as necessary, and conduct dorm and perimeter patrols.

- Effective communication, common sense, and de-escalation techniques.
- Consistent, punctual attendance.
- Respectful and dignified treatment of guests.
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills for team interaction and client service.
- Excellent customer service skills, detail-oriented, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
