Initial assignment will be for one year. Subsequent renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.

Purpose

To provide technical and research assistance in support of the Morikawa lab in the Department of Neuroscience. Incumbent will carry out experiments investigating the neurobiology of addiction and reward learning using behavioral and electrophysiological analyses in rodent models.

**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct behavioral conditioning of rodents, including measurement and analysis of data.- Electrophysiological recording and histological analysis of rodent brain slices.- Stereotaxic surgery in rodents.- Train other lab members.- Develop research plans.

Required Qualifications- Degree in Neuroscience or related field.- Masters degree + 2 years' experience or Bachelors degree + 4 years' experience.

Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience in rodent stereotaxic surgery.- Experience in electrophysiology and/or histology.- Data management skills using Excel, Prism, etc.

Salary

$45,000
