We are looking for a dedicated, innovative, and adaptable individual to serve as a teaching assistant and enrich the learning experience of students.

This position is currently for a need at the Colebrook School in Acton, MA, however, the location of this position can change based on the needs of CASE Collaborative.

For 45 years, Concord Area Special Education (CASE) Collaborative has been an educational service organization that allows school districts to plan, develop, and implement programs for students with special needs. It affords school districts the opportunity to augment local services and provide a continuum of special education programs through collaboration with member school districts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and facilitate student participation in CASE classroom activities and peer interactions.
- Assist teachers in implementing appropriate curriculum, lessons, alternate assessments, and modications for children with special needs.
- Comfortable communicating via adapted American Sign Language/Tactile Sign Language.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of current IEPs of assigned student/s.
- Supervise students with disabilities within the building, including but not limited to the transition from and to transportation and school, lunch, recess, eld trips, assemblies, emergency drills, and hallway passing.
- Maintain a high level of condentiality and professionalism.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Administrator.

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**:

- Requires good physical condition to support lifting, positioning, and transitioning students, as needed, according to caseload/classroom assignment. Demands of lifting may be up to 50 pounds.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, climb, run.
