**Responsibilities**:
The Research and Correspondence Department is seeking a Health Insurance Operational Supervisor to replace an open position. The position primarily oversees Committee Appeals regarding claim and service denials by making sure they are handled correctly, written up properly, and responded to accurately. The position is also responsible for all aspects of supervising a team of 8-10 Analysts who process the appeals and other correspondence for medical claims and services. This includes meeting individually and as a team on a regular basis; training, developing, evaluating and disciplining staff as needed; and all administrative work associated with supervising staff. This position will participate on and lead special projects/assignments as needed and participate in departmental supervisory responsibilities. The position will always represent the department in a positive and professional manner.
