Personal Caregiver

This is an **AS NEEDED** caregiving position. We would like to onboard several caregivers who are looking to work as needed. For example, if a client only needs care for a few days, or if we have a call off, etc. So, you would not have a set schedule and may only work a few times a month, depending on your availability and willingness to pick up shifts. Potential for ongoing cases depending on client needs.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist/remind client to take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene. Includes bathing and grooming.
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in case of emergency
**Skills**
- Proven experience as a caregiver. Minimum 3 year experience
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
