**About This Role**

**CAE**, the world leader in aviation training is seeking a **Payroll Specialist** to join our team at our Phoenix Aviation Academy in Mesa, AZ.

The Payroll Specialist will provide exceptional internal customer service, handling data entry, payroll compilation, and timesheet management. This role ensures accurate, timely compensation and compliance with federal and state regulations.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Extract employee schedules from our scheduling system.
- Complete timesheets with scheduling information on a weekly basis for over 150 employees.
- Ensure timesheets are completed and approved by Friday of every week.
- Collect, verify, and record employee attendance, vacation, sick days, including hours worked.
- Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.
- Handle all off-cycle payroll requests.
- Process Cadet timesheets for our third-party vendor.
- Conduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracy.
- Maintain a database of personnel information and accurate payroll records.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure a seamless payroll process.
- Complete requests for pay-related documents, including statements and verifications.
- Process and handle unemployment requests.
- Perform other HR administration duties as assigned.

**Skills Required**:

- 2 years of payroll experience.
- Computation skills.
- Computer literacy, including using programs and spreadsheets.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational skills.
- Time-management expertise.
