**GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION**:
- The **Lead Staff** will support individuals served in maintaining a lifestyle which promotes individuality, responsibility, and dignity.
- The **Lead Staff** position will carry greater responsibility than that of other Support Staff**.**:
- The **Lead Staff** person will act on behalf of the program site Manager in his/her absence, assume and carry out all delegated responsibilities as assigned.
- The **Lead Staff** will assist in training new staff and ensuring staff compliance.
- The **Lead Staff** will act as the medical liaison for the group home.
**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED**:
- High School diploma or equivalent
**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
- Demonstrate at least one year of previous experience with developmental disabilities and residential services.
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:
- Valid State of Connecticut driver's license; Employee must meet driving standards as stated in SARAH SENECA Personnel Guidelines.
- Working knowledge of ADL skills: i.e. banking, food preparation, housekeeping, money management.
- Provide own transportation when working at CLA sites.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Key: O - Occasionally; up to (2) hours per day, Og - Ongoing during a shift, F - Frequently; up to (6) hours per day
