**Responsibilities and Duties**
Must have the ability to work overtime as business demands. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within TRP warehouse locations and ensures products are packaged for compliant shipping.
- Performs general shipping and receiving duties such as order picking, verifying orders are 100% correct, and general quality checks.
- Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production /storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base. (loading and unloading trucks)
- Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Responsible for always keeping an adequate supply of materials on hand.
- Required to forward a requisition for shipping materials to the department supervisor for approval.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Complies with all safety, health, regulatory, and PPE compliance laws and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain powered industrial truck permit and safely operate various types of powered industrial trucks.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- A demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions.
- Must be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods on the purchase order and processing database.
- Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.
- Must be capable of estimating weight and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping.
- Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
- Experience with UPS and FEDEX online software is desirable. Experience with RF/Scanning equipment.
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
