**Full-time hourly position.**

**Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:45 am - 4:15 pm; Friday 7:45 am - 1:00 pm**

Under the general supervision of the site administrator, supervise student behavior, monitor school campus and parking areas before school or during lunch and recess or between periods; assist in maintaining security of the campus; perform related duties as assigned.

**Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Perform campus and parking lot control and monitor functions and activities.
- Assist and direct campus visitors to authorized parking areas and appropriate offices.
- Ensures that no unauthorized persons are on school grounds during recess and that students do not leave the grounds during that time without permission.
- Inspect, review, and monitor campus and parking areas to ensure against inappropriate behaviors, campus litter and to improve potential safety hazards. Reports unsafe conditions.
- Directs vehicle traffic as needed and sets up traffic cones.
- Supervises or assists in the supervision of eating areas and play areas.
- Assists students in opening containers.
- Supervises playground activities during recess.
- Enforces school rules and safety regulations.
- Patrols student restrooms.
- May supervise students in additional outdoor areas as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance of appropriate student activities in hallways, restrooms, and in areas adjacent to the school buildings.
- May supervise indoors if weather or other issues require students to remain indoors at recess.
- Enforces school procedures related to eating areas, including cleaning lunch tables and trash disposal.
- Develops rapport with students.
- Uses positive reinforcement strategies and other appropriate techniques to assist students in the development of appropriate behavior and an appreciation of human diversity.
- Counsel and advise students and others regarding violation of rules and regulations.
- Uses good judgement regarding appropriate action to assist an injured or physically ill student.
- Assist ill students or students experiencing difficulty by escorting them to the health office or appropriate administrative offices.
- May administer first aid and report accidents.
- May supervise detention hall and center for special instruction.
- May contact appropriate law enforcement agencies in consultation with the site administrator to maintain the security and the control of campus and parking areas.
- Operates and responds to calls on two-way radio; operates other assigned equipment including assigned office equipment.
- Participate in staff development activities and professional learning communities as appropriate.

Perform other related duties as assigned

- Acceptable methods used in controlling students in lunch recess situations.

- Legal mandates, policies, rules, and regulations concerning campus control, security, and appropriate student behavior.
- Crowd control procedures and the detection and identification of dangerous drugs and improper substances.
- Positive behavior interventions and supports.
