Power to Decide is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. Our mission is to advance sexual and reproductive well-being for all. We accomplish this by providing trusted information, expanding access to quality services, and catalyzing culture change.

**Position**

Power to Decide is seeking a coordinator to support the Public Policy team’s federal and state advocacy efforts. The coordinator is responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to drafting and updating policy resources and content, collecting department performance measures, and providing other project management and administrative assistance. We are seeking an individual that is a self-starter, well organized, and has a passion for using policy to advance access to reproductive health care and education.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Working with the policy team to ensure policy resources and web content stay up to date, including our Voter Voice campaigns and Federal Policy Action Center.
- Tracking policy team’s advocacy activities using Fiscal Note.
- Supporting project management activities as needed.
- Preparing materials for Hill meetings and briefings. Occasionally communicating with the Hill regarding meetings or opportunities for collaboration, including on the annual #ThxBirthControl campaign.
- Representing Power to Decide at external meetings and briefings, both virtual and in person.
- Providing administrative support, including scheduling internal and external meetings, keeping minutes for our biannual Public Policy Advisory Council meetings, and maintaining contacts in our customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor's degree and at least one to two (1-2) years of relevant experience, or three to four (3-4) years of relevant work experience without a degree.
- Demonstrated interest in Power to Decide’s work and public policy priorities.
- A high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity.
- Solid written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing interests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the federal budget and appropriations process preferred.
- Previous experience working on state/federal legislative affairs or policy is a plus, as is experience with digital grassroots campaigns.

The Coordinator, Public Policy is a non-exempt, full-time position. Salary is based on market factors and individual experience and abilities. The starting salary range for this position is $62,000 to $70,100 depending on experience and qualifications.
