**Position Overview**:
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire an Executive I to serve as Systems Coordinator for the Region 2 office located in DuPage County. The Executive I will serve as liaison with the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) staff to report system problems, request additional enhancements or other equipment needs. The System Coordinator will coordinate the user acceptance testing of new and/or revised programming, including computer-based systems such as IES, WVS, IPACS and mainframe-based programs such as those available under the Blue Zone IMSA program. In addition, the Systems Coordinator will monitor system security for automated support programs used by regional/local office and various other users, including IES, WVS and other systems used in the region/local office. The Systems Coordinator will provide suggestions/requests to the Regional Administrator to enhance current systems efficiency and improve quality of service delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serves as Systems Coordinator for Region 2.
- Serves as liaison with the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) technology staff to report system problems, request additional enhancements or other equipment needs.
- Coordinates the user acceptance testing of new and/or revised programming, including computer-based systems such as IES, WVS, IPACS and mainframe-based programs such as those available under the Blue Zone IMSA program.
- Monitors system security for automated support programs used by regional/local office and various other users, including IES, WVS and other systems used in the region/local office.
- Provides suggestions/requests to Regional Administrator to enhance current systems efficiency and improve quality of service delivery.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
- Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, OR completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

**SPECIALIZED SKILLS**

Of the one (1) year of responsible administrative experience, requires one (1) year of experience with user acceptance testing in a public aid eligibility system, such as Integrated Eligibility System (IES), this includes identifying, logging, and tracking software issues and performing data analysis with business processes.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- One (1) year of experience with user acceptance testing in a public aid eligibility system, such as Integrated Eligibility System (IES), this includes identifying, logging, and tracking software issues and performing data analysis with business processes.
- Three (3) years of professional experience utilizing principles and practices of management information system administration.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in the development or support of automated systems and equipment support protocols for a public or private organization.
- Two (2) years of professional experience interacting and communicating with co-workers, other agencies and/or customers in private or public organization.
- Two (2) year of professional experience thinking independently with strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and leadership skills.
- Two (2) years of professional experience exercising judgment and discretion in implementing and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
