A position is currently available in our Industrial Coatings Department for a Metal Finisher. This position will perform functions to clean dirt, scale, and other materials from metal objects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Blast or glassbead stainless steel, steel, and aluminum to prepare substrate for coating with dry media abrasive to achieve proper roughness specification and anchor profile
- Collect & stack objects on racks and moving carts to transport components into blast bay
- Tape and mask components in preparation for blasting & painting
- Fill pressure pot with abrasive material
- Adjust controls on equipment to regulate pressure & amount of abrasive blast
- Sanding, grinding, and cleaning for paint preparation.
- Maintain and operate cleaning equipment
- Inspect and change filters as needed
- Maintain area through general clean up and organization
- Assist with priming and light painting
- Assist with material removal from blast bay
- Assist in touch-up on repair products.
- Transport products/materials between finishing area and other parts at the facility.
- Grind to deburr prior to glass beading as necessary.
- Ensures all safety policies are followed at all times
- All other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Must be able to wear specialized, protective equipment including respirators (95% air supplied respirator, 5% half mask respirator).
- Ability to operate forklifts and/or indoor overhead cranes
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be comfortable using scaffolding and ladders

**Physical Requirements**:

- Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment, regularly exposed, and working with mechanical moving parts.
- Regularly required to reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift or move up to 50 lbs.

**Schedule and Hours**: 40+ hours per week Monday-Friday with weekend work as required.
