We are seeking a maintenance technician to perform all the general maintenance and repairs necessary throughout the property. This position is for those who are willing to do physical labor and be responsible for multiple aspects of the hotel infrastructure (electrical, plumbing, etc.).
**Major Responsibilities Include**:
- Check all light bulbs, replacing when and where necessary
- Ongoing inspection of fire exit signs on all floors; Ensure all fire escape doors are in proper working order
- Inspect guest room ventilation and log any action taken
- Repair and preventative maintenance of general hotel equipment, i.e.: washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners, TV, and more.
- Check for painting touch up and patch up work
- General repair of incidental damage by guests or employees
- Establish work order priorities and maintain maintenance equipment
- On call in emergency situations
- Actively participate in achieving a safe work environment
- Minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures, e.g., leaking faucet, repairing a sink drain
- All other duties as assigned such as assisting the housekeeping department
- Keep current records and proper records for city/county and state regulations
- Able to be flexible to work both hotels (Hotel 32ONE and The Urban) and SOOL Bar and Lounge.
Physical Requirements:
- Good communication skills.
- Simple grasping of objects of less than 5 lbs. on a daily basis.
- Pushing and pulling of objects from 5 to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
- Lifting of objects more than 10 lbs. on a daily basis.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
