**Description/Expectations**: The Assistant Taproom Manager is responsible for supporting the Taproom GM in coordinating taproom events, communicating with, and growing our mug club, creating content and posting on social media, increasing beer to go sales, maintaining fresh and interesting retail merchandise, and managing the taproom during hours of operation in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager with the guidance of Taproom GM. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant/event operations and have a good understanding of what makes great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including nights, weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help grow sales, ensure an excellent experience for all guests, and guide a highly motivated team.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Event Planning**:

- Respond to all event inquiries in a timely manner.
- Booking large parties while communicating with the Kitchen Manager on food needs and the GM on staffing needs to ensure parties run smoothly.
- Developing new events to bring in revenue and keep the taproom experience new and exciting.
- Booking weekly live music for the taproom and theme-appropriate music for events
- Plan and execute monthly Theme nights in the taproom. Ordering decorations and planning fun activities to go with the theme.
- Plan and execute events for new beer releases.
- Organize and work monthly beer dinners with the Kitchen Manager and GM.
- Assist in planning and executing large company events (Imperial Fest, Anniversary party, Passport Fest, and Oktoberfest).

**Beer to Go**:

- Training staff on how to upsell beer to go.
- Setting daily beer-to-go sales goals for each team member.
- Tracking weekly beer-to-go sales for each member of the team, and coaching those who need assistance with the GM.

**Mug Club**:

- Input new members, keep existing members’ information organized as well, and remind members when their membership is up.
- Send out monthly newsletters to members.
- Keep track of Mug Club shirts and mugs and collaborate with GM when inventory needs to be ordered.

**Merchandise**:

- Hold quarterly brainstorming meetings for new merch ideas, ensuring to be ahead of changes in seasons and holidays.
- Communicate with vendors throughout the design process, getting final mockups approved by the GM and Marketing Manager.
- Organizing and inventorying new orders of merchandise upon receipt
- Shipping online orders of merchandise from the website.
- Taking monthly inventory of all merchandise

**Social Media**:

- Post taproom events and music on social media
- Create fun daily content to be posted

**Floor Management**:

- Creating a safe, fun, and clean working environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals.
- Managing staffing levels to sales and cutting the floor and kitchen when needed.
- Making table visits to get to know the guest and ensuring they are enjoying their visit in the taproom.
- In conjunction with all Management, enforcing compliance with all employment policies as stated in the handbook and always overseeing the cleanliness of the taproom and the safety of guests and employees.

**Administrative**:

- General administrative duties or tasks as assigned by Taproom GM.
- Responsive when off-site or flexibility to adapt schedule as needed.
- Work with the Taproom GM and Kitchen Manager to increase sales and manage budgets.

**Job Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in hospitality; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Energetic and genuine positive attitude while interacting with team members and all guests.
- Detail-oriented work habits and strong organization skills are required.
- Excellent personal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to adhere to company standards for response times and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability of effective problem-solving skills
- Availability to accommodate flexible working hours.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Willingness to learn other communication platforms like Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and HotSchedules.
- Strong judgment, professional maturity, and responsible decision-making.
- Able to lift >55 pounds routinely-physically moving kegs of beer is required.
