Residential Overnight/ Evening Youth Counselor

The overnight youth counselor functions as part of the treatment team and is responsible for the direct care and supervision of adolescent girls in a group home. The treatment team, which includes the youth counselors, clinicians and psychiatrist, builds on the strengths in our youth and encourages success.
Part of the daily responsibilities of the overnight youth counselor are resident supervision, breakfast preparation, maintaining the household environment and dispensing medication.
It is a 40 hour week consisting of a three overnights: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights, 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. and one evening shift Saturday 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Minimum requirements for the position: BA in related field (social work, psychology, etc), a BA in an unrelated field with 6 months experience working with children in a group setting, or H.S. diploma and at least 1 years experience working with children in a group setting. NJ Driver's license required.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
