**Job Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor**:

- Participates in establishing goals and standards of performance for the production area. Plans, schedules and assigns the work of the department, and maintains work efficiency at the highest possible level at the lowest possible cost
- Leads, organizes, trains, and coaches teams to reduce waiting time between operations, distance between operations and inventory all along chain. Responsible for continual and rapid improvement in operations to meet basic customer needs
- Continuously monitors quality of work and production efficiency in the department
- Arranges for proper maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Participates in preparation and recommendation of the operating and capital budgets for the production area, and continuously reviews and controls expenditures against such budget
- Explains and enforces company policies and rules; maintains discipline, morale and harmonious employee relations; administers disciplinary action for rule violations, misconduct, absenteeism or deficient performance
- Authorizes leaves of absences for employees, and approves time off where appropriate; maintains surveillance of unsatisfactory attendance, and takes necessary corrective action
- Implements safety programs and policies, and conducts safety training. Investigates all injuries and near misses within the area of supervision, and implements corrective actions
- Continuously seeks cost reductions and recommends improvements to procedures, processes, equipment and layout

**Qualifications of the Production Supervisor**:

- 3+ years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Energetic and Action Oriented individual
- Excellent Problem Solving skills
- Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently
