**Job Summary**

Under the direction of the CSULB Energy and Utilities Manager, this position independently reports, analyzes, and makes recommendations on energy and utility operations including providing budget/revenue projections, department charge back billing coordination, generating reports and other activities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Utility Operations: Monitor, analyze, and generate reports on utility operations.
- Metering Support: Validate utility meter data, analyze consumption, and make recommendation.
- Energy Program Support: Coordinate and provide access to contractors/consultants, edit/maintain as built documentation, generate reports on energy project costs.

**Knowledge Skills and Abilities**

Ability to work in a team environment, interacting and communicating effectively, dependably, tactfully, and diplomatically. Ability to work independently under general supervision. Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines and deal with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

**Education and Experience**

Required:

- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.

Preferred:

- A bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting) or equivalent.
- Strong math skills and ability to perform accurate computations.

**Physical Summary**

Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are mínimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

- Valid California driver's license

Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

**CSU Classification Salary Range**:The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,694 - $7,131 per month.

**Time Base**

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

**Duration of Appointment**
