- Oversees office operations, ensures office equipment materials and space are used efficiently and effectively.
- Researches, analyzes and summaries information and source materials for report independently and communicates findings orally and in writing.
- Handles technological issues related to the office and lab equipment.
- Remains current with and maximizes the use of technology for efficient processing and generation of reports.
- Assists chairperson with the hiring process for faculty. Assists chairperson with class schedules and assignments each semester, creates Adjunct and Contingent I contracts.
- Helps maintain/manage departmental budget and departmental ordering.
- Analyzes, summarizes, and communicates this information to appropriate officials.
- Assists in the preparation of final reports, recommendations, and other information resources for the improvements of business processes and office workflow.
- Manages flow of documents to and from the office, including opening internal/external mail, requisitions, and other critical business documents.
- Sets priorities and monitors the progress of administrative assignments and projects.
- Responds to questions from departmental and external personnel.
- Maintains complex and sensitive filing systems.
- Anticipates needs and gathers information as each situation requires calendar management.
- Prioritizes multiple projects.
- Follows up on ongoing matter and meets deadlines.
- Ensures that all action items for the Department are completed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Education**
- A Bachelor’s degree required. Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education.**Experience**
