**We are seeking **a School Operations Program Specialist to support a variety of company programs operating at multiple school sites (private and/or public) within Chicago Public School District 299. The School Operations Program Specialist (in line with company strategic plans and operating objectives) establish project priorities and schedules, provides specialized advice, facilitation, and support to administrators, faculty, staff, and/or students in the development and implementation of effective programs, procedures, systems, and/or practices, ensuring programming operations within partnering schools is accurate and works to meet company organizational goals and objectives.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:_
- Communicate regularly with the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager and programs support team
- Under the direction of the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager, oversee all assigned school sites (including timely and thorough on-boarding, training and coaching, and payroll related matters)
- Under the direction of the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager, coordinate, participate and/or facilitate professional development and training sessions related to instruction strategies and best practices for direct service providers
- Under the direction of the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager, coordinate the scheduling of professional development, family engagement and/or fine arts related program initiatives and activities for assigned schools
- Participate in the creation and production of training materials as needed
- Conduct timely and thorough site observations and examinations at participating schools at least once a month (may be more, depending on site) to ensure compliance with mandatory standards and ESSA Title I program requirements
- Record accurately and completely all required documentation and documents, including those submitted by direct service providers, for all program components
- Conference with assigned schools’ personnel, program instructors, tutors and counselors regarding documentation compliance requirements
- Monitor and maintain all DMDL portal data entry and documentation by direct service providers, for completion and accuracy, on a weekly basis
- Collect, review for accuracy, approve and submit all portal data entry (e.g., schedules, student attendance, and provider invoicing) for billing purposes in a timely manner
- Coordinate required testing for eligible students at participating schools as needed
- Foster effective teamwork between direct service providers and school personnel
- Identify, assess, and inform the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager of external issues that may affect programs at assigned schools; include suggested corrective action plan(s)
- Provide the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager with quarterly instructional progress reports for assigned schools
- Make certain that supplies, materials and equipment necessary to improve student achievement is made available to direct service providers at participating schools, ensuring company is in compliance with ESSA Title I Classroom Improvement guidelines
- Learn and comply with all company approved policies and procedures
- Report actionable violations of the ‘Independent Contractor Guidelines’ to the School Operations and Academic Programs Manager immediately
- Engage in continued professional development to ensure increasing knowledge of current trends in education
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- **Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field preferred
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree and five or more years of progressive office experience in a business or education sector is required.
- At least 3 years’ experience in academic instruction to K-12 students
- Project management experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive ideas forward
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with daily pressure to meet deadlines and programming goals
- Ability to work in a technological environment (i.e. Microsoft TEAMS, Zoom, Google, etc.)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat (other Office365 and Adobe Creative Suite program knowledge preferred, but not required)
