Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Non-destructive evaluation (NDE) Trainee or Level II IUT technician for 2nd or 3rd shift. In this role, you will perform Immersion Ultrasonic testing using automated UT equipment in our fast-paced NDE lab in accordance with industry and customer specifications.

Salary Range: $20-$30/hour

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct IUT test using ultrasonic equipment to ensure the quality or detect defects in test pieces
- Set-up, utilize and calibrate IUT test equipment
- Interpret codes and specifications
- Clearly and legibly report test results
- Use approved techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Capability of analyzing C-scan data and A-scan presentations
- Preform other job-related tasks as needed

Skills / Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 80hr UT school certificate meeting element standards
- Valid driver's license, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment required
- Documented on the job (OJT) hours or a level II certificate from a previous employer required
- Ability to work day or night shift
- Ability for possible Travel
- 2 years of NDE experience in the oil and gas or aerospace industries preferred
- Ability to work without supervision and be an independent thinker where you will need to make on the spot decisions
- Ability to work in a team environment and have the ability to collaborate with personnel in order to complete projects on time
