Unarmed Security Officer - Patrol Shopping Center

Arizona Veteran Security is searching for an experienced Security Officer to patrol and maintain property security in shopping center located in Tucson, Arizona.

**Part Time**:Sunday - Monday

**Hours**: 6a-2p or 10p - 6a

**Pay Rate**: $18 per hour.

**You must complete all screening questions and submit resume to be considered.**

**Unarmed Minimum Qualifications**:

- 21 years of age or older
- Must have duty gear (Duty belt, baton, OC Spray, Hand Cuffs)
- If you do not have duty gear, AVS will loan the required equipment for 60 days
- Have a current AZ DPS unarmed security guard card
- Training in the use of OC Spray, Baton, and handcuffs
- You must complete the assessments to be considered for employment
- Three (3) years' experience as a licensed unarmed security officer
- Valid driver's license and vehicle to report to jobsite
- Smart phone with a data plan and the ability to operate apps
- Must be drug free

**Job Duties**:

- **Golfcart and Walking Patrols**:

- **This is a less than lethal position which requires an employee to have duty belt and gear**:

- Must have communication skills and be able to work with challenging people.
- Report updates to command center of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches and/or safety hazards
- Must be able to maintain a daily activity report

**Physical Requirements**:

- Drive golf cart
- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform duties.
- Lift or carry up to 25 pounds
- Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports
- Constant use of eyes to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers
- Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat
- Constant mental alertness and attention to detail
