**Maintenance Technician II, Full-time, Permanent**
This is an experienced, skilled labor position. Employee performs skilled carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing work in the repair and maintenance of Corporation property. Employee must be able to design and construct customized projects and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to job unsupervised. STRONG RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICAL SKILLS REQUIRED.

**Duties may include but are not limited to**:
Follow local building codes
Follow safety procedures
Train and assist co-workers in performance of job
May include other duties as needed by the Corporation

**Requirements**:
Solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately
Select materials, plan sequences and method of work
Use specialized tools as required by project
Cut and shape materials and join them together
Know local building codes
Be able to lift 80 pounds
Be physically fit for duty

**Carpenter Duties may include but are not limited to**:
Replace/repair wood and drywall/plaster parts of the Corporation's buildings that are damaged (dry rot, termites, fire, vandalism, accident, etc.) as assigned.

Perform carpentry portion of building repairs and remodels (framing, drywall, windows, doors, etc) as assigned.

**Requirements**:
At least three years experience in wood framing, window and door installation, roof repair, and finished carpentry

Able to read plans

**Electrical Duties may include but are not limited to**:
Install and maintain the wiring, fuses, conduits, outlets, and other components of home electrical systems

**Requirements**:
At least three years experience in electrical work.

**Plumber Duties may include but are not limited to**:
Repair/replace all parts of a residential plumbing system (water)

**Requirements**:
At least five years experience with residential plumbing

Knowledge of, and ability to repair and maintain, World War II-era plumbing

**License/Certification**:
Driver's License (preferred)

**Compensation**:
$30 to $45 per hour depending on experience and skills level

Medical Benefits after completing 6 months probationary period

Built in 1941, the neighborhood is part of the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park. A showcase in its time of small, solidly built units, 2-4 to a building, oriented toward community living and uniquely established for independent corporate self
- governance, Atchison Village is a modest residential oasis located between the semi-industrial eastern end of the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge and west Richmond, a mile north of Pt. Richmond and a 15-minute drive from Berkeley.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
