**About the Team**:
TikTok US Trust & Safety Product team's goal is to provide the best user experiences to safely create, consume, and enjoy content on TikTok. As a Product Manager for the Product Safety team in TikTok's US Trust & Safety organization, you will be the linchpin that holds together the integrity of systems that rely on policy, moderation, product, and process. You will be building safety features, strategies, and technical solutions to improve our capability to detect, triage and, if possible, prevent safety incidents from proliferating on our platform. Your job will consist of interpreting multiple cuts of data (both qualitative and quantitative) to identify gaps and improvements across the entire safety ecosystem. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders across the globe, including Core Product, Product Policy, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, etc to create innovative solutions and comprehensive strategies to mitigate risks that come with new products of TikTok. You will develop streamlined and scalable processes to prevent abuse on a wide range of features while ensuring trust and protecting TikTok's brand reputation.

The Search Product Manager, Product Safety, may be exposed to harmful content as part of their core day-to-day functions, as well as in project work; in response to escalation requests; or by chance.

Some content viewed my violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product Policy, Algo, Engineering, Safety Operations, Core Product and other Global teams to support, optimize and build roadmaps for US TikTok products and features
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies across the safety ecosystem and, in response, develop and test strategies and solutions to support effective content moderation, ensure our products, processes and workflows are optimized for efficiency
- Create, approve, implement product requirements and provide end-to-end support for the launch of innovative safety products or processes by partnering with Global Product, Engineering, Policy, and Data teams
- Provide Product Assurance through safety strategies, risk and compliance assessments
- Support the development of an innovative culture focused on prevention and experimentation; identify product or process weaknesses, develop hypotheses to test, and use those results to inform best practices.
- Work in tandem with our Data Science team to ensure that the metrics we track are actionable and lead to cogent and achievable strategy
- Partner with our Algo team to develop proactive machine learning models and algorithms in flagging and detecting user badness
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, build consensus, drive issues to closure, help identify risks/mitigations and communicate project status
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and constantly changing environment
- Work with Global teams across multiple regions, time zones, languages; open to domestic and international travel
