What you will do:

- Responsible for the inventory control, PAR utilization and management, product standardization, contract compliance, and assuring the cost-effectiveness and reliability of an acquisition and distribution system for the consumable and reusable supplies for Supply Chain Specialty areas.
- Ensure a detailed understanding of the ordering process, inventory management, contract compliance, data analysis, independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and problem solving.
- Deal effectively with the demands of departmental relationships, with proven strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for ordering, maintaining, receiving, and distributing supplies and materials to various hospital departments.
- Process all electronically handled purchase orders in the supply management program
- Stock patient care products according to established protocols.
- Facilitate orders, receipts, processing and distribution of all inventory specialty and non-stock (stockless) items to the assigned departments.

What you will need:

- Education: High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred
- Certification: Specialized courses related to materials management, inventory, and/or OSHA requirements preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years related to materials management systems or with progressively more responsible related work experience in supply chain. Knowledge of Lawson System and associated handheld preferred
