General Overview:
The **Regional Area Director** is a key member of our leadership team who is responsible for overseeing operations of multiple locations within an assigned region. The Director will be responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining consistent brand standards, and achieving financial targets. This role will provide leadership, support, and guidance to Area Managers within the region, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, maximizing revenue, and fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and team member development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains individual contributor and/or management-level staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policy.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial drive to define strategic objectives and take ownership of your region; provide leadership to ensure all programs and initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented in alignment with brand vision.
- Motivate, coach, train, and strengthen Area and General Managers to provide a great guest experience and drive business results.
- Use operational tools such as profit and loss statements, business reviews, cash management, labor matrix, and inventory management tools to identify trends and implementation of best practices to enhance operations and achieve company objectives.
- Participate in preparing operating budgets and analyze all budget activities for each store in the assigned region. Monitor all financial activity and take actions to ensure and improve sales and profit. Responsibilities include monitoring cost of goods, labor, and controllable expenses.
- Ensure and promote a safe workplace and safe product handling by supporting safety training initiatives and counseling direct reports, as necessary.
- Identify key opportunities that may impact the brand image, products, or success, and deploy mitigation strategies.
- Strategically identify and build relationships with both internal (HR, Training, Marketing) and external key stakeholders.
- Create a culture of performance and accountability so that team members know they are supported and cared for. This includes recruiting, onboarding, training, and promoting professional growth and development.
- Identify team member skill gaps, developmental areas, and opportunities (i.e., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to advance individual and team capability.
- Lead and maintain a culture of respect and commitment to the brand, aligning the team with our core values.

Qualifications:

- Drive for achieving and exceeding targets, monitoring key performance indicators, and taking proactive actions to improve performance and achieve operational goals.
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of Area and General Managers, setting clear expectations, and has a passion for providing guidance and support.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations including training, recruiting, and maintaining required standards of operations with the ability to present innovative ideas to capture and retain market share.
