We are looking for an onsite Chef for a Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Tarzana, CA.
This position is responsible for planning, preparing and cooking meals for individuals in a residential treatment program. Ability to adhere to safety standards and proper food handling procedures are essential to this position. Day-to-day responsibilities may vary.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
Core duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to the created menu for individuals in residential treatment program.
- Ensure quality and quantity of meals based on client ratio.
- Adhere to dietary needs of clients and ability to adjust to specific dietary needs as well as communicate and document these needs.
- Adhere to safety standards when preparing, serving, and storing food.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies, food, and regularly used items.
- Clean, maintain, organize, and sanitize cooking utensils equipment, and dishes in an orderly, organized, and safe manner according to accreditation requirements.
- Discard outdated food items on a timely basis.
- Properly clean/sanitize, maintain and organize all kitchen supplies.
- Keep kitchen supplies properly stored.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen area.
- Comply with HIPAA and other mandates regarding client care and confidentiality.
**Salary**: $22-24 per hour
