We are looking for full-time and part-time, dynamic, creative, and committed Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA/OTA) to join our transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, certified occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, and child development specialists.
**The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages from birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients’ homes or daycares. We offer competitive rates starting from $55 per hour* and an excellent benefits package for eligible employees which includes: medical insurance, 401K, sick time, paid vacation, and a flexible schedule.** All of our clients are located in Los Angeles County, CA.
**Duties**:
- 1:1 treatment in clients’ homes or daycare settings
- Provide parent education and support
- Collaborate with team members
- Take/submit progress notes as required
**COTA Minimum Requirements**:
- Previous pediatric treatment experience
- Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver’s license
- Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test
- State licensure/certification from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (COTA/OTA)
- Strong work ethic, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
- Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus
**COTA Physical Requirements**:
- Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
- Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
- Sudden and quick movements may be required
- Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting,
- reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes
