**Definition**:
**Examples of Work**:

- Perform analysis and create GIS data, tables, forms, reports and exhibits to meet project objectives;
- Manage GIS related projects to insure resources are used efficiently, objectives are attained and deadlines are met;
- Perform evaluation, testing, installations, and upgrades of GIS related hardware and software;
- Use industry standard programming languages to automate processes and procedures to enhance GIS efficiency;
- Provide technical support and in-house training for GIS users;
- Maintain and manage an efficient multi-user SDE environment and manage the associated SQL Server databases and IIS web server;
- Develop and maintain hardware, software, and systems documentation and procedures;
- Provide integration support between the GIS and other systems;
- Research, coordinate, and implement new processes and technology;
- Assist with design and development of the GIS;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
- Subject to 24 hour recall.

**Education, Experience, or Certification**:
Technical certification or an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in GIS or a related technology field and a minimum of two years relevant professional experience are required.

**Supplemental Information**:
The Department of Human Resources & OrganizationalDevelopment may consider an equivalent combination ofeducation, training and/or experience.
