A spectacular opportunity to take part in a brand new Ambulatory Surgery Center is opening in Chinatown, Manhattan that specializes in Gastroenterology. We are looking to add an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to this facility as our new Nurse Manager - Endoscopy. Prior experience as an endoscopy nurse **preferred**. **No prior experience as Nurse Manager needed, as we can train you for this position We are seeking a motivated individual who can coordinate the staff and run an Ambulatory Surgery Center alongside other gastroenterology physicians.**
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of endoscopy nursing staff
- The Endoscopy Nurse Manager will be supported by Endoscopy Charge Nurses, Endoscopy Staff RNs, Endoscopy Technicians and facilitators
- This position will report directly to the Medical Director to keep them informed and collaborate with them on unit initiatives
- Manage daily operations of the endoscopy unit, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to endoscopy nursing practice
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and experiences
- Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning
- Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and supply ordering for the endoscopy unit
- Work directly with the patient care team in identifying and solving patient problems/complaints
- Relay patient information to doctors and communicate with other health team members about a patient's care
- Provide information about care and treatment to patients and families
- Promote an atmosphere which facilitates collaboration and empowerment of staff
- Assess and evaluate staff competency
- Assist with ensuring adequate labor coverage
- Perform other duties, as needed
- **Qualifications**_:
- 3+ years of Endoscopy experience (preferred not required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin Chinese speaking **(strongly preferred)**:
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Experience in a team-based, collective bargaining environment
