Procurement Support Specialist

**Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI)** is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)and we are looking for a highly motivated **Procurement Support Specialist** to join our team supporting our **National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)** client. The mission of **NOAA** is to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, ocean, and coasts to share that knowledge and information with others, and to conserve/manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Serves in a support capacity assisting government stakeholders with an array of administrative tasks and projects aiding in day to day operations.
- Assists Procurement Acquisition Manager with implementation, training and maintaining procurement program and other change initiatives.
- Provides support for planning, organizing, and implementing related acquisition/procurement activities.
- May assist in special projects assigned by the procurement Acquisition Manager.
- Proactively initiates cost reduction/savings initiatives.
- Enters requisitions into contract writing system, PRISM.
- Follows up on staff paperwork and other similar tasks to ensure timely processing.
- Coordinates with staff to establish essential meetings to be held in a timely manner.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 Years of relevant business, purchasing and contracting experience supporting a commercial or government on site is required.
- Desired experience with using PRISM and NBIS systems.
- **Required ability to work on-site as needed, currently 1 day per week in Silver Spring, MD.**
