Position Overview:
QinetiQ US is seeking a Communications Specialist that will drive integrated communications across the Defense Health Agency (DHA) enterprise; and provide outreach throughout the organization with a team who can amplify senior DoD voices, along with integrating the broad policy and operational issues within the MHS and interagency relationships. Initiate and assist in the production of support in order to carry out a number of strategic communications tasks, such as writing and planning, conducting detailed oral presentations to senior leaders, identify communications tools for media, strategic outreach, internal communications and social media. Duties include:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic communication assessment and issues management approach to military medical and medical related issues that impact the military medical community as an enterprise.
- Conduct predictive analysis of issues that may impact the future of the MHS enterprise, and make recommendations for multi-disciplinary communications efforts.
- Report out and provide a synopsis of research, analysis, findings, and recommendations weekly or at a frequency as directed.
- Execute strategy cell meeting engagements, chaired by the Director of Strategic Communications and other key Division leaders.
- Develop senior leader talking points on myriad strategic issues affecting the MHS.
- Deliver communications support to the enterprise, including media, marketing and customer service support.
- Coordinate with Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs (OATSD/PA) for reactive and proactive communications engagements for all HA/DHA or MHS related issues.
- Remote position but MUST live in the Washington, DC Metro area to be accessible to go onsite as client requests.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Public Relations or Communications, or similar relevant field
- Minimum of 6 years working experience as a Communications Specialist
- Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust #QinetQClearedJob
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- ** Remote position but MUST live in the Washington, DC Metro area to be accessible to go onsite as client requests.**

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in DoD strategic communications and public affairs
- Professional certification in strategic communications accredited by a certifying organization, e.g. Public Relations Society of America
