David's Pet Services (DPS) is West Hartford, CT's largest and most successful dog walking and pet sitting company.
At DPS, our employees' well-being is our number one priority. We vet all potential clients to make sure that you will only work with friendly dogs/cats. You're also trained in-house, so you will know what to expect when you go into the field, solo.
** We are currently looking for Sunday and Monday nights as well as every third Saturday night. Moreover, we will have many other weeknight and weekend shifts available (morning, afternoon, evening) too. Lots of room to grow. This is not necessary for this job post, but should this work for you, sometimes we need weekday (9-5) fill in work as well **
Day to day, working for DPS looks like this: After you're trained, you will visit multiple homes in West Hartford (90% of visits), Hartford, and Bloomfield and complete 20, 30, and 45 minute dog walk and pet sit visits.
For Weekend and Weeknight work, per shift, there may be 1-2 visits, 4-5 visits, or even 9-12 visits ; it depends on how much you want to work _and_ current client demand.
If you love dogs and cats and live nearby, this job is PURRfect for great exercise and extra cash in the MOST fun way.
You are paid a wage and mileage reimbursement from our company, and tips from the majority of our customers. With wages and tips, you will always make a minimum of $18/hr.; if you make less, DPS will make up the difference in your paycheck (hourly calculations do not include mileage reimbursement, that is extra).
Employees receive their first raise after two full payrolls, post training.
