The Silver Lake Regional School District (Grades 7-12) is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as its Athletic Director and Wellness Curriculum Coordinator. This position requires a passion both for athletics and holistic wellness as well as the ability to coordinate and oversee programs and initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity, health, and wellness.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Athletic Program Management:

- Develop and implement strategic plans for the athletic program in alignment with our school’s Vision of the Graduate.
- Oversee all aspects of athletic operations, including budgeting, scheduling, facility management, and compliance with regulations.
- Recruit, hire, guide and support coaches and athletic staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of athletics into the overall educational experience.

Wellness Curriculum Coordination:

- Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive wellness curriculum.
- Collaborate with educators and health professionals to develop engaging and age-appropriate wellness programs and resources.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and events focused on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on wellness-related topics.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of wellness initiatives and make adjustments as needed.

**Requirements**:
MA DESE AP/Principal License or Supervisory License

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Degree in Sports Management, Health Education, Exercise Science, or related field. Previous experience in athletic administration, coaching, or related role. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of NCAA or relevant athletic association rules and regulations. Ability to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives. Passion for promoting health and wellness in a diverse community. Organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.
