**Responsibilities**:

- Travel to criminal courthouses throughout Southern California.
- Effectively manage case continuances, negotiate with prosecutors, and advocate for our clients.
- Draft and present mitigation packets to demonstrate client circumstances and potential for rehabilitation. Also draft mitigastion packets requesting dismissal when the proseuction has tunnel vision.
- Draft and argue legal motions to support client defense strategies.
- Finalize plea agreements, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
- After 2pm the work day is done (for 6 months)

**Probationary Period Details**:

- This is a 6-month probationary role with a part-time schedule (8 AM - 2 PM).
- Successful completion of the probationary period may and will most likely lead to a full-time position.

**Post-Probationary Advancement Opportunities**:

- Transition to a full-time role with a starting salary of $9,000 per month.
- Engage in trial work independently.
- Office hours post-court until the completion of daily tasks, with the flexibility to leave before 5 PM if tasks are completed (if not, work until 5 PM).
- Participate actively in social media and marketing efforts for the firm.

**Qualifications**:

- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of California.
- Proven experience in criminal law, with strong negotiation and legal research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
- Passion for criminal defense and endning mass incarceration
