Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Security Professional with the IBM Corporate Security Executive Protection Team, you will be responsible for providing security services to the senior leadership of the corporation. The work environment will be with high-profile individuals on a global basis; settings are often unfamiliar and at times in transit. Engagements are numerous and geographically dispersed.

Responsibilities Include:

- Monitor all environments for potential threats and suspicious activity, respond rapidly and effectively to any security threats, while maintaining a discreet profile, in a corporate environment.
- Conduct thorough advance planning to identify potential security risks, implement protective measures and develop emergency action plans to include hospital assessments for medical emergencies.
- Perform route analysis and planning.
- Liaise with LEO/Corporate Security/transportation network on a on-going basis.
- Coordinate at off-site venues with corporate events team. Execute security plans for the senior leadership, ensuring a safe environment at these events.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Significant experience in Security/Law Enforcement background with a deep knowledge of EP operations and industry’s best practices.
- Prior D.C. government experience (secret service, state department, federal agent etc.).
- Ability to perform responsibilities under often fast paced, high pressure, sensitive and volatile conditions.
- Possess advanced problem-solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating patience and flexibility in approach, with the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
- LEOSA/HR-218 credentials: Prior experience as a Law Enforcement Officer or Special Agent with Federal authority and ability to maintain the HR-218 status

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years International travel experience in Executive Security/Personal Security,
- Significant experience in Executive Protection/Personal Security.
- Understanding of protection language and prior experience working with C-level executives.
