**Position for**:Material Resource Planning Buyer**, **GS-1101-09**

This is a TERM appointment not to exceed 2 years and may be extended for up to a total of 8 years.

**Salary Range**: $61,727 - $80,244 per annum

**Duties**: Forecasts, schedules, and expedites material needed to support anticipated and unanticipated programs and projects. Collaborates with budget, finance, and procurement personnel to obtain approvals and accounting citations, for timely generation of purchase orders. Processes all transactions and documentation requirements for manufacturing material production requirements utilizing the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). Research material purchase requirements on Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to ensure that the proper material is requested and obtained. Reports material status issues such as recurring asset visibility, forecast requirements, and quality of materials.

**Qualifications**: To qualify, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Using supply/inventory management systems such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP);(2) Prioritizing the acquisition of inventory/material purchases; and (3) Conducting research on material purchase requirements or inventory. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 07 )

- The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 5%.
- Subject to a 1-year trial period.
