**Responsibilities**:
UHS is currently recruiting for our Division Director of Payer Strategies, nationally supporting our acute division.
Responsibilities include:
- Leads third-party payer contracting strategy and initiatives with payers.- Develops and implements contracting strategies for all acute care facilities, professional providers and ancillaries.- Oversees and reviews all external medical provider contracts for the acute care division to ensure adequate reimbursement for medical services and appropriate development of division business opportunities.- Reviews and develops division contracting policies and coordinates division contract performance.- Directly participates in and assists the VP, Payer Strategies, with analysis, proposal, negotiation, communication and implementation related to third party payer contracting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of managed care contracting and practices sufficient to maximize revenue generated from these sources.
- Extensive knowledge of health care finance practices and methods.
- Demonstrated managed care contract negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated inter-personal and written and verbal communication skills required in imparting and developing contract negotiation practices to Acute Care hospital executive management staff.
