**Position Description**

The Associate Director for ERP Systems Production is part of the ERP Systems unit of Administrative IT (AIT) and will lead a fundamental restructuring of the production unit. This group is responsible for configuring, scripting, testing, scheduling, and maintaining several hundred term-based batch workflows for the Extension and Summer Schools. This position’s initial focus will be to reduce and mitigate existing structural risk by transitioning in-house developed systems to vendor supported services and platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Leads the review and restructuring of existing business processes such as daily production, reporting tools, report generation, file transfer tools and architectures. Ensures that selected solutions align with business objectives
- Leads the definition of system and service requirements, performs gap analysis and identifies ways to fully leverage baseline functionality of current ERP platforms such as Student Information Systems (Banner) and Automic job scheduling. Collaborates with stakeholders, to translate business and service needs into clear system requirements.
- Leads change management to ensure that users understand new systems and processes during system transitions, such as the adoption of new Banner specific agents/connectors. Verify that new and transitioned services meet user expectations.
- Manages two Operation Specialist staff: hiring, performance review, training/coaching/mentoring, professional development to support service delivery and to meet business requirements.
- Oversees all aspects of scheduled daily production operations including reviews of batch processing and identification and resolution of any issues. Including:

- Develop and maintain report distribution and archival strategies.
- Leverage-vended solutions wherever possible.
- Manages external (and internal) data transfers. Monitors daily transfer activity. Migrates transfer processes to common tooling/platforms.
- Liaisons with internal and external stakeholders around reporting and data transfers.
- Supports daily User Job Submission (UJS) and On Demand (OD) requests and processing. Assures timely service delivery

**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum of seven years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
- Supervisory experience

**Additional Qualifications and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- Knowledge of / experience with Ellucian Banner production environment
- Knowledge of / experience with Broadcom Automic Application Manager
- Knowledge of / experience with a scripting language (Perl/Python/PHP)
- Knowledge of / experience with ETL practices
- Knowledge of / experience with encryption key management
- Knowledge of Informatica
- Knowledge of Linux

**Work Format Details**
