Working under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Team Lead for the MGH GI Referral Access Center is responsible for ensuring the clinical referrals and the work que are worked and addressed in accordance with the department’s standards, including reporting any issues with incoming referrals to the appropriate subspecialty team lead or triage nurse, and gathering outside records. Under supervision, will assist in managing ACD telephone system within the Access Center and help staff develop their knowledge, scheduling abilities, documentation, and triage skills.

Associate degree required. Bachelor's Degree in business administration, health care administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical or healthcare setting, with experience

in outpatient clinical referral management.
- Intermediate to advanced PC skills (MS Office, Windows) required. Prior experience with MGH systems (EPIC, Outlook) helpful but not essential.

Prior experience working directly with physicians.

Experience in working in a large, complicated organization is a plus.

Some prior supervisory experience helpful.
