Duties

This Legal Administrative Specialist (Litigation Support) provides technical and analytical assistance to support the litigation needs of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Legal Administrative Specialist (Litigation Support) support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, located in Brooklyn, New York, focusing in the areas of technical and analytical assistance to support the litigation needs of the USAO.

**Typical work assignments will include**:
Performing routine litigation support tasks necessary to process common electronically stored information and preparing it for review or production by the litigation teams.
Providing technical assistance to litigation teams presenting or filing electronic evidence or exhibits in civil or criminal legal proceedings.
Responsibilities will increase, and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progresses. The full performance level of this position is GS-11.

**Requirements**:

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**: To be considered mínimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
**To qualify at the GS-09 level, you must possess**: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing at minimum, (3) of the (4) duties listed below:
Performing routine and recurring litigation support assignments (i.e., processing electronic files, performing basic document review, supporting case preparation and presentation).
Communicating to litigation staff/team about the status of litigation support projects.
Utilizing litigation technology software to conduct litigation support assignments.
Participating in analyzing project requirements to identify appropriate litigation support approaches and options.
OR master's degree or equivalent graduate degree; or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
