Summer Youth Instructor

**Where**: Should have a car and/ or should be easily able reach through public transport south side neighborhoods

**Once Upon Our Time Capsule**:
Once Upon Our Time Capsule is a non-profit focused on supporting youth mental health through the use of arts and storytelling. We are looking for an energetic and experienced instructor to support our arts-infused, SEL-aligned programming across schools and after school programs in Chicago this fall.

We have a variety of staffing needs, so there is flexibility for individuals who can take on project-specific work, as well as individuals who are interested in a more regular and recurring role.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Lead the arts-infused, Social and Emotional learning-aligned curriculum for 3rd through 8th graders in summer camp (9-11AM and/or 1-3PM)
- Establish an engaging and safe learning environment for all participants
- Arrive punctually and fully prepared
- Work collaboratively with Once Upon Our Time Capsule staff (meeting deadlines, completing post
- lesson reports; administering assessment materials in the classroom as needed, attending required meetings or training, etc.)
- Document program successes and challenges and share with Once Upon Our Time Capsule

**Qualifications**:

- Spanish proficiency is preferred, but not required
- Having your own car is preferred (though not required) since teaching locations are across the city

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $35.00 per hour
