Cad Designer/ Additive Manufacturing Specialist

CAD Designer/ Additive Manufacturing Specialist with extensive knowledge and experience in sheet-metal and plastic part design. Experience in 3D modeling and detail/assembly drawing.
**Duties**:
- Update and revise existing drawings and models based on changes in design specificationsor manufacturing requirements.
- Create all necessary deliverables for engineering release including bill of material (BOM),and then release BOM for procurement.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements andspecifications.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams during the productionprocess, addressing any design-related issues that arise.
- Program and operate 3D printers for prototyping as well as short production runs.
This is a “do it all” position, you should know your way around a shop and how to create things with your own hands.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree in mechanical engineering or MET or equivalent working experience in thefield described.
- Computer aided design (CAD) skills, preferably with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Experience with 3D printing, FDM and SLA.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and possess strong communicationskills, verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize job assignments in a rapidly changing, shortturn-around environment.
- Ability to use standard precision measuring/inspection equipment.
- Ability to think creatively and bring ideas to the table.
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques required to build in sheet-metal, metal and plastic.
- Ability to program and troubleshoot CNC plasma cutting machines.
- Knowledge of printed circuit board design.
