The Operations Coordinator performs administrative tasks and assists the management team with agency operations. Makes sure the office runs smoothly and helps spread the word about the Family Center's mission and services through social media, newsletters, and the website. Assists in planning and managing fundraising activities such as writing grants, sending direct mail, and organizing events. Supervises the Child Care Financial Assistance and Referral program to ensure that families are supported finding and paying for child care.

Essential Functions:
1. Administration
- Provide administrative support for the management team, staff, and Board.
- Prepare and produce reports, spreadsheets, charts, and/or other materials as assigned.
- Manage office equipment and supplies.
- Prepare and distribute mail, assist phone callers and walk-ins.

2. Child Care Financial Assistance and Referral Program Management:

- Lead and support the team to grow in a positive work environment.
- Help staff use state data system for efficient program management. Keep track of program progress and results accurately.
- Support program collaboration with local agencies, schools, and childcare providers to facilitate referrals and enhance support networks for families.

3. Communications & Outreach:

- Engage stakeholders through various channels including media, newsletters, social media platforms and website content.
- Share program updates and stories effectively.

4. Grant and Fundraising:

- Support developing and managing grant proposals.
- Oversee annual town contribution requests including local petition requirements, town fact sheets on Family Center service use, and speakers at Town Meeting
- Ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

5. Other Responsibilities:

- Attend scheduled meetings and maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in agency events and maintain community relationships.
- Perform other assigned duties.

The Family Center in Montpelier is a member of the Parent Child Network of VT whose focus is support and education to families with young children through wraparound service delivery. The goal is to help all Vermont families get off to a healthy start, promote well-being, and build on family strengths.
