**Job Summary**:
Equipment Maintenance and Machine Fabrication you will perform customization and fabrication of conveyor belts received from customer specifications, either in-house or at the customer’s job site. You will specialize in conveyor maintenance and repair.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts.
- Repair equipment in a timely manner and prioritize repairs.
- Create and implement measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc.)
- Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Meeting and exceeding all customer expectations.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
- Work in a manner that ensures the safety of all fellow employees and customers
- Exercise proper care in utilization of tools and equipment
- Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions.
- Observe and implement all safety rules and regulations as mandated by the company, customers, and OSHA.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Managing the belt shop to ensure a positive and proactive work environment within the belt shop team members, all customers, and end-users.
- Developing, implementing, measuring, & executing belt shop programs
- Determine metrics, evaluating performance and provide continuous improvement coaching of Direct reports and members of your team.
- Train all employees on proper equipment operations, company afforded system tools and SOPs to perform their job function.
- Manage consumable stock.
- Represents Belt Power in a professional manner at all times
- Other duties, projects, and responsibilities, as assigned.

**Requirements for Equipment Maintenance & Machine Fabricator position should have foundational equipment and mechanical knowledge**:

- 2+ years building maintenance experience.
- 2+ years electrical experience
- Professionalism and Leadership skills
- Mechanical Aptitude including the ability to understand measurements of fractions, metric and standard.
- The ability to interpret and verify precise measurements with a variety of tools.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required. Must be willing and able to travel.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- High School Diploma or equivalent education/Certification

**Preferred**:

- Management Experience
- Conveyor belting Experience
- CNC Machine Experience (G code)
- Lathe Experience
- Certified Welder
- Rigging Experience
- Belt splicing knowledge
- Forklift certified

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems.

**Work Environment**:
Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required.

**Physical Demands**:

- Must be able to frequently lift 75 - 100lbs. safely using proper lifting techniques.
- Must be able to lift, carry, pull, push, climb, shovel, and walk, as defined by the scope of the job.

**Pay Range**: $19.00 to $22.00
