Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
**Duties**:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Collect and record patient medical history and personal information
- Assist with medical coding and documentation
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Perform basic X-ray procedures under the supervision of a licensed radiologist
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Offer exceptional patient service, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns
**Requirements**:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs measurements
- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices
- Experience in medication administration
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests
- Basic X-ray certification preferred but not required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient communication and service
Note: All positions at our facility are paid positions, including internships.
