**Location Highlight**

Evanston Corner Bistro is our newest location of LM’s popular bistro concept. The restaurant just opened on October 13,2023, on the ground floor of the Hilton Orrington’s Hotel in the heart of Evanston. The menu focuses on affordable contemporary dishes which highlights our fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant features a light filled dining room, an expansive bar, separate private dining areas, as well as an outdoor covered terrace with heat lamps so diners can take advantage of patio season even as the temperature drops.

LM Restaurant Group is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive Host to join our team at Evanston Corner Bistro. A Host is responsible for ensuring the guests are having a pleasurable experience from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave. You will be responsible for guest satisfaction, greeting and seating guests, answering phones, taking and executing reservations/waitlist and daily side work. LM Restaurant Group values their employees by providing a safe, constructive and positive work environment.

**What will I be doing?**

As a Host, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Greet guests in polite and friendly demeanor.
- Seat guests in accordance with section rotation to ensure even workload for wait staff.
- Manage waitlist and reservations.
- Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
- Take carry out orders and provide menu recommendations.
- Accurately enter orders into POS system
- Learn full menu including allergens in each menu item.
- Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
- Cash handling
- Perform other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction

**Other Duties & Tasks**
- Must be able to stand for 8+ hours.
- Ability to lift to 10 pounds regularly and 20 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to work in hot and cool conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Well groomed, professional appearance

**What are the Qualifications?**
- 1+ years Host experience in a trendy high-volume restaurant (preferred)
- Food Handlers certification within 30 days of employment
- High School diploma/GED (preferred)
