We currently have an opening for an IT Operations Manager for our plant in Troy, Ohio.

**Purpose**: This position is responsible for providing senior level technical support and manages the operations specialist staff at the plant operations in Troy. This will include activities relating to desktop and network computing with a major focus on supporting the manufacturing shop floor environment. As a senior team member, the primary responsibility will be to manage daily operations support for all infrastructure aspects of IT operations including but not limited to software and hardware acquisition, implementation and support.

Job Requirements:

- **Responsibilities/Principal Duties**:

- Assign work duties and responsibilities.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for staff.
- Responsible for IT operations in Troy.
- Ensure 24-hour manufacturing shop floor hardware and network up time.
- Responsible for reporting activities (SOX, Help Desk, Metrics).
- Manage projects and budgets.
- Perform preventative maintenance on shop floor hardware equipment.
- Responsible for installation, upgrading and troubleshooting of personal computers.
- Manage user expectations and follow-up on a consistent and timely basis.
- Assist other IT Operations Specialists when requested.
- Maintain general industry knowledge of desktop and network products relative to Clopay’s environment and technology direction.
- Be proactive in reading and gaining understanding of “new technology” and its potential within Clopay.
- Follow all standards and methods for Information Technology, architectures and product use.
- Assist in the evaluation of new software packages and hardware components as required.
- Responsible for complete installation, upgrade and troubleshooting of user requests.
- Manage user expectations and follow-up on consistent and timely basis.
- Working knowledge of use and configuration of networking operating environments supported by Clopay (Novell Netware, Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista, networking technologies).
- Working knowledge in the setup and support of base hardware configurations supported within Clopay.
- Understanding of technical architecture and components within the Clopay network.
- General knowledge of business information flow and data transfer in the desktop/network environment.
- **Qualifications**:

- **Education**:Bachelors Degree in Information Systems preferred.
- **Experience and skills**: Minimum of 5 years experience with desktop, hardware, and network support and relevant products. Proficient in use of HP Proliant servers, HP printing systems, barcoding equipment, Ethernet networking, Cisco equipment, label printers.
